About
The Evanston Conscious Movement Festival is a collaboration, a celebration, and a community.
The Evanston Conscious Movement Festival is founded by Rebecca Sturgeon and made possible by the Evanston Health Collective. We are your neighbors, and are deeply committed to well-being — yours and ours.
We started this festival as a way to focus on real community through authentic presence. Our bodies can only ever be in the present moment. Unlike the mind, the body exists in the now and can only act and react authentically. We have found that when you tune into the body — its presence in the now, its realness — you can reach a deep place of calm and awareness. From this place, authentic connection grows and bliss is possible.
We humbly offer this weekend to you as a chance to explore movement, to find what brings you joy and vibrancy. After the festival, we invite you to join us at pop-up sessions throughout the year to stay connected.
